Luna the Catfish's Diary (EN Sub) (2017)
A poetic documentary tracing the stories
behind each tattoo of a woman known only as Luna the Catfish.
She defines the marks on her body
as punishment, branding, and sadism.
*The film was selected to be part of the Bangkok Art Festival in 2018.
Director’s Statement
I created this work in 2017, during my third year at university.
At that time, no one had defined for me
how many forms a documentary could take,
nor was I taught to classify them.
I simply felt that this bittersweet story belonged in the shape
of a poetic documentary.
Now, in 2025, with a wider view of the world,
I deeply hope to continue making films in this form again and again.
